Digital Edge Awards entry.

Harvey's project aims at finding a tangible way to comprehend landscape transformation. Investigating places such as Regent's Place, Regent's Park, and Tower Bridge, Harvey explores different topographies, aiming to capture shifting vertical changes. Prototype testing allowed for system observation and identification of areas requiring further development. The final device design is capable of recording all natural factors influencing natural datum shifting. By incorporating winds, currents, water discharges, and gravity, the wind catcher completes the range of datum shifting factors. The turntable bearing beneath the recording material's tray results in distinctive engraved patterns.
Harvey presented a thought-provoking project exploring landscape change. The judges admired his innovative approach, in-depth research, and the potential of his design to understand and visualize landscape change in multiple heights. Harvey also showed impressive digital skills by developing a visual language around his concept and filling an extensive presentation with his visualizations.
